Sean Edward Whelan was born in Australia and received in a BFA from Tasmanian School of Art in 2002. He currently lives in Niigata, Japan.
Pencil drawing is his great passion. His illustration practice is influenced by the alternative and lowbrow art scene in Melbourne, and more recently the Japanese Kaijyu style.
His work has been exhibited in Australia, Japan and the US.
