Maisie Broadhead received an MFA from the Royal College of Art in 2009.
Jewelry Depicted is a series of photographic re-interpretations of classical paintings with jewelry as its central focus.
Broadhead intends to jewelry to act as more than a prop. ‘In the flesh the jewellery is a collection of distorted and hidden half-truths,’ she says.
Her first solo show, The House of Fake, was exhibited at Sarah Myerscough Gallery in London and Sienna Gallery at SOFA Chicago in 2010.
