About Erin

Erin Fostel received a BFA with honors in Drawing and Art History from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2004. She describes her imagination as still pure, and essential to her creative practice. ‘As a child my dreams and reality were divided by a thin line so thin that I sometimes lost touch with the present,’ she recalls. Her recent is inspired by the nostalgia she feels for childlike imagination.

Make sure you go and view her website. These images don't do her justice. Amazing work!

Make sure you look at her website before rating! These two pieces aren't fully representative of her style. I love it!

Appreciated the work on your website far more than the two works shown here. Enjoy graphite work and am glad to see someone honing their draughtsmanship with dedication to light and shadow and all that is in between.

Sure, it's hard working art and everything as such, although it reminds me of heartbreak hotel

Iooks like so much of the work that has come out of the Maryland Art institute...our son also attended there and we were semi impressed.

The emotion in the first is crazy. I love it! The second is a lot harder to follow
