About Steven


Steven Tabbutt was born in Maine and spent the majority of his childhood on military bases in North & South Carolina. He graduated with a BFA in Illustration (minor in Painting) from the Savannah College of Art & Design, Savannah, Georgia, in 2002. He received his MFA in Illustration as Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts, New York, in 2006.

Steven has exhibited work with galleries nationally and internationally, in such cities as New York, Paris, London, and Tokyo including regular exhibitions with the Yukiko Kawase Gallery; his piece ‘Landlocked Blues” was chosen for Yukiko Kawase’s London Art Fair Year07 catalog cover and featured in Miser&Now. His first solo show opened in Paris at the Yukiko Kawase Gallery in June 2009 and was featured in Artension magazine’s 47th issue.

Very clean work. Beautifully done. I agree with jfarris about it looking like Escherist. I am actually lucky enough to own some orginal work by Escher and it does kinda favor his style. But you are your work is your own! So it looks like YOU!!! Great work!

You're like, seriously amazing. I love it all. I love how you combined renaissance portraiture and techniques with modern technology and ideas. Absolutely lovely. My favorite artist I've seen at this site so far. I wish I could be half as creative as you are with my art.

Stevens art work is different and has great colors to express what type of feelings the painter wants you to feel. i just have to say it is creative.
