Kenn Kotara is a mixed-media abstract artist producing works on paper, canvas, Mylar, and wood. His unique environmental installations include his suspended screen structures and Braille-based ‘visual” studies. The suspended screen structures feature multiple panels depicting an abstract image. Each panel consists of opaque linear drawings and/or cutouts, and the configuration changes as the viewer circles the structure. And because the screens are free to move with the breeze, they also provide additional optic and kinetic effects.
"Kenn's work is wonderful. I love how his pieces, his screen pieces in particular, play with light, perspective, and a fair amount of chaos. His pieces make you pause and force you to examine them from multiple angles."
