David Fredrik was born in Lahti, Finland. His works are inspired by vintage signage, graffiti, abandoned scrapyards and erosion. His pieces reflect the beautifully imperfect surroundings of urban city life.
David explains his work by saying, “My works are comprised of collage and acrylic paint, which are then deconstructed to form abstract compositions. Hopeful, complex, raw and honest – my paintings all tell different stories about urban cultures. My background in Graphic Arts heavily influence the way that I approach my pieces. Much like working digitally, I consider every layer to be an integral part of the overall vision.”
