Ben Tankard is a painter from the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia who was featured in the 2012 Sulman Prize and 2012 Mosman Prize. He studied fine arts at the University of Western Sydney, graduating in 2000.
Ben paints in acrylics and oils, on canvas and board, and dabbles in digital artwork. His inspiration is drawn from artists such as Rick Amor, Mark Tansey, Nicholas Harding, Robert Hannaford and Eric Fischl.
