About Daniel

Daniel Palacios is a highly technological, self-taught artist.

His 2006-07 Waves series consisted of machines able to scan and visualize its stream of visitors. More recently, his 2010 Kill the Process series consists of objects with artificial intelligence that communicate with viewers.

On one level, these are inanimate machinery and software components. However, Palacios views them more conceptually as a response to very human questions about perception, memory, time and space.

Palacios is concerned with viewer experience rather than the aesthetic value of his work independently from human beings. For him, the installation is merely a catalysts to put the viewer inside an experience.
