Joe Lucchese, also known as Dopepope, is a New York City artist specializing in bizarre character design and his own brand of illustrative graphics he calls “”Experimental Aesthetics”". An illustrator since childhood, he swerved his talents into the world of digital photo retouching and effects as well as graphic design. He lends his fantastic imagery to magazines, record companies, collaborations with photographers, and gallery shows as often as possible. Currently, his book ‘Bioengineered to be the Best’ showcases many of his unique creations. He is also the creator of the highly acclaimed MetalMAN Project, book and online gallery, where artists from all over the world are invited to create imagery using one similar element, the head of METALMAN!
