Photography is integral to my paintings. In my best work I capture in paint images that are “found” snapshot moments of beauty from my everyday life. When I look through my photos, some images stand out as particularly interesting and/or beautiful, and I decide to explore them further by painting them. The presence of beauty in the ordinary and every-day particularly interest and inspires me. I emphasize color and light to add intensity to the scene.
